1.Tomorrow's small volume piezoelectric controllerAppearance and Function

Its front panel has analog input interface (SMB connector), analog output interface (LEMO single core connector), servo function switch (toggle switch), servo sensing input interface (LEMO four core connector), sensing output interface (SMA connector), upper computer communication interface (DB9, MicroUSB), as well as zero and integral potentiometers. Zero adjustment is used to adjust the zero point of the analog voltage output, and users can adjust it again according to actual use; Integral adjustment is usually pre adjusted before leaving the factory, and it is not recommended for users to adjust it themselves to prevent vibration and damage to the driven piezoelectric product.

In addition, the front panel also has a power indicator light (green), a target indicator light (yellow), and an overcurrent indicator light (red).

The E53 high-power piezoelectric amplifier controller is used to drive capacitive loads, such as piezoelectric actuation products. The E53 piezoelectric controller cannot be used to drive resistive or inductive loads.

The E53 series can be divided into three models: E53.A,E53.B,E53.D。 Among them, E53. A is an open-loop piezoelectric amplifier, which has functions such as power amplification for open-loop driving piezoelectric actuators. E53. B is a closed-loop piezoelectric controller, which has an additional closed-loop feedback function compared to E53. A, and can monitor real-time driving signals. E53. D is the most powerful model in the E53 series, which includes all the functions of E53. A and E53. B, and provides communication with the upper computer for input/output voltage control.

3.Small volume piezoelectric controllerOpen the pressure for use

For open-loop piezoelectric operation, E53. A piezoelectric amplifier can be used, and its output voltage is determined by the analog signal setting at the control input terminal. Open loop operation is very suitable for applications that require fast response and high bandwidth requirements. In these applications, controlling and reading the absolute position of the target is not important or is completed by an external feedback loop.

For closed-loop piezoelectric operation, the E53. B or E53. D series can be selected, which have their own closed-loop servo control and do not require external servo sensors. If communication with the upper computer is required, the E53. D series can be selected.

Frequency

All series of E53 piezoelectric controllers have peak currents greater than 1A, providing microsecond step times for driving piezoelectric motion products.The step time curves for driving different loads are shown in the following figure. When the load is about 1.8 μ F, the step time is about 110 μ s.

The output current of the E53 piezoelectric controller is constant, and the operating frequency generated when driving capacitive loads of different sizes is different. The larger the load, the lower the corresponding full amplitude frequency. For example, in the following figure, corresponding to a load of 1.8 μ F, the full amplitude frequency can reach about 500Hz. When the load is greater than 1.8 μ F, the frequency will decrease accordingly, and when the load is less than 1.8 μ F, the frequency will increase accordingly.
